Ranch Oyster Crackers

This is one of my favorite party snacks to make – and eat! They’re far more interesting than boring old chips, and more fun than regular crackers. I got this recipe from my Mom-in-law, who got it from a family friend; but I’ve also been told that there are some other very similar recipes out there already. Either way, if you haven’t tried these, they’re super easy to make and wonderfully tasty to munch on!

{3/4 cup} vegetable or canola oil
{1/4 tsp} lemon juice
{1/4 tsp} garlic powder
{1/2 tsp} dill weed
{dash} ground black pepper
{1 envelope} ranch dressing mix, unprepared*
{12-16 oz} oyster crackers

*I use Hidden Valley Original Ranch Salad Dressing & Seasoning Mix (to be prepared with milk/mayonnaise).

  1. Preheat oven to 275 degrees.
  2. Whisk together first 6 ingredients. Pour over crackers, stirring well to coat.
  3. Place on 2 baking sheets in single layers. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until lightly golden brown. Let cool before serving.

Makes 6-8 cups, about 4 servings per cup.
