Good Reads from Blog-land

Time to share some great reads from this week! Here’s a few that I thought were pretty awesome:

.
Ultimate Beach Reading Summer Guide – Modern Mrs. Darcy
Head over to The Modern Mrs. Darcy and hit subscribe to get this great resource for free! If you’re looking for some good reading material for the summer, she has compiled a list of titles, organized by genre and/or topic. She also offers some suggestions for “beach reading” – as in, how not to ruin your books with water and sand.

The Song in My Head – True Woman
Sing Your Heart Out – Thy Word
The same topic by two different bloggers – and they both offer a great reminder to incorporate music into our private worship time! Paul tells us to speak to ourselves in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. David speaks of singing to the Lord – in fact, the whole book of Psalms was originally a book of worship music. Why not try singing praises to the Lord the next time you meet Him in your devotions?.

Spring into SmoothiesYoung Wife’s Guide
Here’s another free ebook for subscribers of the Young Wife’s Guide! It offers some great inspiration for refreshing summer smoothies… even if you’re new the whole “smoothie thing,” I guarantee you can find at least one recipe in here that you’ll want to try. Personally, I think the apple pie one sounds amazing!

My Journey to 5000 Followers – Courtney from Women Living Well
A great read for any bloggers out there! Courtney shares her 4-year journey to having 5000+ followers. She offers some practical advice such as posting frequently, commenting on other blogs, and networking on social media. She also offers encouragement to all of us to “surrender your blog to God’s purposes” and always spend time with Him first before even turning on the computer (something I’ve been working on lately).
