Smothered Mushroom (fill-in-the-blank)

Here’s an easy crockpot recipe that works with just about any type of meat! I’ve done it with pork chops, beef tips, venison, meatballs, pork tenderloin…

It’s super easy, and loaded with flavor!

Smothered Mushroom (fill-in-the-blank)

{1 lb} thawed meat-of-your-choice
{1 can} cream of mushroom soup
{1-2 cups} sliced mushrooms
{1 large} white onion, chopped
{1/2 cup} beef broth
{dash} worcestershire sauce
{1 clove} garlic, minced
{1 tsp} onion powder, thyme
{1/2 tsp} nutmeg
{dash} black pepper


  1. Saute onion beforehand, if desired.
  2. Combine everything in crockpot.
  3. Cook on LOW for 4-6 hours (longer, for thicker cuts of meat).
  4. Serve over egg noodles.

Makes 4 servings.

Serving Suggestion: egg noodles, green beans, sliced carrots

    The recipe sounds really good (Brian even liked it). Just got some chicken brats; think I will try it with that on one of the VBS nights.
