Sometimes it’s nice to focus on enjoying the little things.
The every-day things.
Like certain colors we find in creation. Or moments of normalcy that can feel all-too-mundane. Or the things we do without even thinking, like brushing our teeth.
Let’s list some of those things today.
Some every-day blessings that I’m grateful for:
- time to read for fun
- toothpaste and mouthwash
- being able to decorate with color
- orange juice
- major appliances (washer, dryer, fridge, stove)
- electricity!
- clean running water
- tylenol and advil
- moisturizer and body lotion
- soap!
- green grass and fresh air
- being literate
- telephones
- being able to hear music
- clearance sales
- coupons
- a warm bed and soft pillow
- locks on our doors and windows
- paved driveways
- people who pray for us/our families/our nation
- chapstick
- kleenex
- toilet paper
- curtains and blinds for the windows
- sweet smelling candles
- closets, and clothes to fill them
- calendars and clocks
I could keep on going… but why don’t YOU take over?
What are some every-day blessings that you’re thankful for?

This makes me laugh – did you see my FB post today (with my link to Friday’s normal post)? I LOVE your list! I love to read about gratitude for the “small” things in life. Healthy eyes, shoes, coffee, love, forgiveness, late-night donut runs…
I love how the DD’s runs keep cropping up in your posts…
Of COURSE they do…I’m thankful every time we go.
In no particular order:
A day off of work
Time to read this
Heat
Family
Food in the fridge
Garbage pick-up
Sabbath Sundays
Bible
I could go on and on
Love it, Janet! Thanks so much for adding to the list of blessings!
So many things on here I take for granted every day, and many around the world struggle for just the basics. Convicting for me.
Coffee, warm bed, safe home, children, health…
Thanks, Alecia!
Visiting via Fellowship Friday at Christian Mommy Blogger. I love your list!
Thank you! Blessings!
Even though I’m getting a migraine I have medication to help with the pain.
Medication is a wonderful thing to be thankful for – I’m very grateful for mine! Hope it helps with the migraine. Those are no fun
