Adieu! Adieu!

When I started DogFur and Dandelions over ten years ago, I had no idea how long it would last. I had no goals or vision for the site, other than to share the spiritual lessons that I was learning and pondering.

It developed into a place of encouragement and truth, with special attention to topics like intercession, gratitude, physical affliction, book reviews, and biblical meditation.

I’ve enjoyed the opportunity to enter your inboxes and — hopefully — your hearts over the past ten years. I’m amazed that anybody besides my mom read my posts faithfully. And I’m thrilled that I’ve gotten to know quite a few of you outside the blogosphere!

But the time has come to say farewell.

I clearly haven’t had much to say over the past year or two. God is still teaching me so many things, but much of it has been internalized in small bites and gradual understanding over time. Life has gotten full, and writing has taken a backseat to art.

For a while now, I’ve been praying about how (and when) to move forward with my art. I’ve been dreaming about turning it into a full-fledged business, making it a regular source of income for our family and providing me the freedom to create daily.

In May of this year, I lost my job due to the Covid economy . . . and with that, God showed me a clear path toward launching an art business.

Drumroll, please!

Easel+Pen is my new home for sharing God’s truth in paint and ink! will be regularly updated with hand-lettered prints and other items available for you to enjoy. I will also occasionally share some written meditations based on my lettering or paintings.

The website is still under construction (by my talented and supportive husband!). However, you can sign up to be notified when it is live HERE.

Until then, my products will be available on Etsy. Visit the shop to see what’s new… like these Print+Color Sticker Sheets. And stay tuned for some exciting new product options!

I would also love to connect with you on Instagram if we’re not already friends over there!
